Iowa native to bring wide-ranging experience, passion for service to leadership role
ANKENY, IA (IAWA) — The Iowa Agriculture Water Alliance is excited to welcome new Executive Director Jeff Lucas to the team this week.
The Fort Madison, Iowa native and proud Iowa State University alum brings diverse career experiences from across the country, from the high desert of Idaho to the vibrant music scene of Nashville.
“Water is a crucial part of everyday life for all Iowans,” Lucas said. “I feel blessed to lead an organization with an established, influential voice in on-farm water quality.”
Lucas counts such roles as Chief Operations Officer for a leading livestock trailer manufacturer, Marketing Director for Youth and Shelter Services (YSS), and manager of a non-profit which raises beef cattle for food pantries among his career highlights.
As he embarks on this new journey, Lucas’ passion for service and talent for collaboration fit perfectly with the dedicated professionals at IAWA, who share his enthusiasm for agriculture and community impact.
Alongside his wife, Brooke, Lucas enjoys life with their one-year-old daughter, Emmy Lu. His passions include bass fishing, travel, family time, and rodeo.
